9/16/2011 -- Something I don't see everyday
Something, I have yet to run across in Virginia, a Luncheon Mean Slicer. Doesn't that evenly cut Spam look delicious? John fries Spam for breakfast and swears it is delicious. I have tasted it and formed the opposite opinion.
The full details escape my memory, but in one of his books Paul Theroux's wrote it is possible SPAM lovers are the descendants of cannibals. The texture is the same as human flesh. Or maybe it tasted the same as human flesh. As I said, my memory is foggy on the specifics. How in the world he knew this to be true I have no idea but, I will forever associate Spam with human flesh.
